 Miss Nancy

Nancy Heikkinen is the founder and Director of Woodlands Montessori School.  In June of 1975 Woodlands Montessori School started in a local church.  12 years later in January 1987 Woodlands Montessori School moved to its present location.

 Woodlands has a curriculum of moderate Montessori with an emphasis on phonics, self-esteem and family values.

 

Nancy has lived in Coral Springs since 1970, is a mother of four children, and was involved in her church, the Cub Scouts and the Girl Scouts of America.

 In Nancy's free time she periodically writes articles for the local papers concerning "Children in Montessori".

 Nancy's most recent venture is a sister Montessori school in Port St. Lucie, Florida, which opened in January 2005.
